Frequently Asked Questions

  What do I wear?

For Pole, shorts preferably as you will have better grip. if not you can wear leggings, its just harder.

Bare feet and NO MOISTURISER at least 24 hours before attending a pole class.

For Low Flow and Aerial Skills, leggings should be perfect but check when booking.
What if I want to change/cancel my class booking?

This is possible as long as you are within the 48hr window. If you cancel within this time frame you will receive a refund or you can change to a different class day/time.

If you are outside this window, it is not possible to change/cancel your booking and you will lose payment.
Can beginners only join the beginners class?

Pole beginners are welcome to join ANY of the mixed ability class. We tailor every class to your ability. Aerial Hoop and silks classes are also open to complete beginners.

For routine classes some experience may be required, so please ask before booking.
I've got no upper body strength, will I still be able to join?

Of course, you will build this up as you attend classes.

We would say Aerial Silks requires the most strength out of all the skills we teach, so we would suggest starting with one of the others first, however you can still start with silks if you prefer.
How can I book/pay for class?

All bookings for classes are to be done through the online booking system, simply click "BOOK NOW" and it will take you to our booking system

Payments option accepted on the online booking system are:

*Bank card details*
*Paypal*
 Does pole hurt?

Everyone has different pain thresholds when it comes to pole. But initially starting out... Yes some moves can be a little tender on the skin, but your body after a handful of classes adapts and this pain disappears.

Plus overtime it helps your body become more resilient from "pole kisses". (bruising marks)
Is there an age limit on classes?

We are inclusive of all ages here at BeYOUtiful Studio from young children, teenagers, through to adults and seniors.

Children under the age of 16 must be companied by an adult to classes.
Do I need to be flexible to start a class

Definitely not!
This something that you build upon overtime if you wish, but isn't a necessity to start with.

As you progress flexibility will become something to work on to achieve those more difficult moves.

We can help you with this, with our weekly stretch classes. Tailored to help you achieve those goals! Also improved flexibility improves your overall quality of life in the long term.
Anything else I need to know?

Bring a flannel or hand towel. Although the poles & hoops will be thoroughly cleaned before your class, you will find it useful to regularly dry your hands and dry the pole to prevent slipping.

If you are asthmatic please bring your own inhaler and let your instructor know where it is so she can access it if needs be.

Do not eat any later than two hours prior to your class. This can help for some people who experience motion sickness.
